We are a boutique supplier with a small customer base that we work with to add real value through our sourcing of long wearing and innovative product equipment selections.

Unlike other ground engaging tools (GET) suppliers we do not hold stock that is available on a first in, first served basis. Instead we order stock in for our customers based on their needs and work with them to ensure no break in supply. We do this by holding up to 6 months of stock and ordering in advance of their needs based on historical usage data. In the rare event that we run out of stock we also have local supplier relationships which we can utilise in the short term.

Over the 10 years we have been operating we have developed strong relationships with both OEM and aftermarket or direct replacement parts suppliers. This enables us to access stock both overseas and within Australia for a wide variety of parts.

We can also hold stock in key distribution hubs in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth. This reduces freight costs and minimises any potential downtime impact on operations.

Valley Blades Ltd (VBL) are one such partner. Established in 1962, in Canada, VBL are a true pioneer and innovator in the ground engaging tools market (GET) and one of the largest suppliers of GET in the world.

With a background in supplying North and South America and products that must withstand the world’s harshest operating conditions, VBL has created some truly unique products that Plasma Wear Parts (PWP) are excited to introduce into the Australian market. Some of their stand out products to have gained international recognition include Grader Link with the unique 1-foot sectional blades that reduce grader blade weights to only 20.9kg. VBL has also started to promote Carbit Link to larger machinery making serrated blades now some of the easiest to handle by combining a unique locking system and easily replaceable tungsten coated and embedded teeth. This system eliminates huge amounts of steel waste and makes changeovers dramatically quicker and safer. Fitters only need to change the blades over annually and fit 1.8kg teeth rather than 120kg+ grader blades at each changeover. This enhances the safety of the operation and reduce downtime. Best of all this solution is cheaper that existing solutions in the market making it a no-brainer for sites looking for better solutions.

There are even more exciting products to come in 2025 with design innovations in the area of cold fusion welding (zero heat input to steel) which we are being designed for dozer blades which have been a long-forgotten product in the GET world. Australian trials are already underway to test the improved life span of the triple carbide grader blade products with results due in Feb 2025. PWP are excited to see where this collaboration can go and believe that VBL are one of the most innovative companies operating in this space. It is time to shake up the grader and dozer blade market and start designing and innovating this long-forgotten area of the industry. To do that takes a specialist supplier who is focused on what they do best. PWP in partnership with VBL are focused on promoting these exciting products to the Australian market so that operations can free up maintenance staff’s time, improve site safety and deliver significant savings to their bottom line.
