Grader Edges
Graders are the unsung heroes of a mine site. We understand the vital importance they play in the safety of all equipment on site. Grader blades are a key component in enhanced safety and finding the right grader blades can save time, money and provide a safer working environment for all. This is where PWP can make a real difference to your operation.
Grader Link™
Grader Link is a patent protected grader blade system that is extensively used in North and South America. The innovative solution offers a new way of installing grader blades. The 3 key points of difference are:
- Safe & easy Fitment
– Blades are only 30.5cm (1 foot) long making them easier and safer to handle.
– Max weight of 20.9kg means a one man install without the need for lifting equipment. - Improved Rigidity & Blade Alignment
Utilising a dual NOrd Lock washer system blades are locked into place to ensure no movement when the grader is in operation. The washers are backed by a lifetime warranty and ensure a rigid locked part that will not come loose with vibration. - Extreme Wear
– The combination of tungsten carbide overlay and inlays provide superior wear life unmatched on any other blade.
Carbit Link™
Carbit Link is a patent protected grader blade system that is extensively used in North and South America. The innovative solution is one of the world’s most advanced grader blade systems.
This is an excellent solution for mining operations using serrated blades on CAT 24 or similar graders looking for improved productivity and lower costs. The key points of difference are:
- Reduced waste
- The unique design enables boards to last a full 12 months without requiring replacing
- Instead of replacing the entire serrated edge you only need to replace the bits reducing huge steel waste
- Lower procurement costs
- Replacing the bits is far more cost effective and can reduce costs dramatically
- Reduced downtime
- With only the small 1.8kg bits needing to be changed, changeover times are reduced by more than half
- The longer wearing solution reduces the total changeovers required and reduces fitters exposure to risk
- The lighter bits are far safer to handle and replace than 150kg edges which are only refitted annually
This system is not the 1 foot sectional product for smaller graders. We offer 4 foot boards which are required to handle the larger bits that are fitted to a CAT 24 Grader.
Bits are available in rotating and non-rotating versions.
Tungsten Tough
For any sites that prefer the traditional 4-foot blade configurations we also offer Tungsten Edge which utilises the same triple carbide design but on standard sized blades. This is a great option for workshops who prefer a standardised installation for their fitters whilst still maintaining the exceptional wear life properties of Grader Link.
Tungsten Edge is a more cost-effective solution than Grader Link and is often used to test the wear life capabilities before opting for the safer Grader Link solution.
Wear patterns are customisable with inlays and tungsten overlays selected based on site specific conditions after consultation with site and based on previous trial results and wear profiles of grader blades. There is never a one-size-fits-all approach.
